Today's vintage postcard blog topic is outdoor or open air baths and bathing pools. I have encountered a couple over the past few years in Devon and Cornwall, some maintained, others not, but none as spectacular as those on these postcards - I wonder if they're still there.

Nice collection - thanks for sharing. There was a salt water bathing pool in San Francisco near Cliff House - now very much gone.

What an amazing postcard collection of bathing pools you have. They are absolutely delightful!
ReplyDeleteIt was caleld Sutro Baths, Viridian, and its ruined self is still there, to a certain extent. The parking lot above it was only recently paved, and it near Land's End where teenagers like to spend time, getting into trouble! It did look fun though.
